Eps Power Steering

AMACUK offer a mobile service to repair/rework a common fault with the electric power steering/electro-hydraulic power steering(eps/ehps or hybrid) units fitted to the vauxhall corsa range which can be a fairly violent pull to the left or right on the steering wheel which is a mot failure.

The most common sympton's that amacuk have found with the eps electric power steering system on the vauxhall corsa is the steering will turn easily one way only/hard to steer one-way,steering wheel will not self centre,biased steering,steering has become heavy or complete failure of the electric power steering.

AMACUK have found the biggest complaint that their customers have had with their vauxhall corsa's is that the electric power steering columns become biased one-way which means that instead of having an nice even light power steering at the wheel it can become very hard to steer one way and very easy to steer in the opposite direction.

We have found that many garages and even main dealers !! will tell you that you require a new unit (electric-power steering column) complete with the electric motor and ecu.
The costs for just supplying the electric power steering column parts alone without the labour charges for removing the complete steering column assembly and refitting a new one would be as much as is necessary to make the vehicle beyond economical repair or a write off !
